This sounds exactly why I am not using BDIS 2011 at all at the moment.. Yes we are all beta testers for BDIS 2011... I feel very ripped off here. BDIS 2010 runs way smoother but not as good as some of the other IS programs out there in reference to system bog. How ever Bitdefenders user interface is topnotch they just have…

I ran the update and it did nothing for my system. I was hoping it would but it didn't. Seriously my entire system was bogged down from BDIS 2011. Email slow and totally UNRESPONSIVE, Firefox so slow it was unusable and crashed more times then not. Anyway after much disappointment and a lot of wasted time my system is…

After countless hours of wasting my time dealing with BDIS 2011 I decided that I can't spend another minute with this broken software. Its too bad as I really liked BDIS 2008, 2009 but 2010 started with the problems then got better just to have BDIS 2011 sprung on us. I do like all the features BD has but think that might…

In my opinion Bitdefender owes people their money back and then some due to the amount of time we have all wasted dealing/trouble shooting their broken piece of crap program. I tell you I am so angry at this company for screwing us over by releasing a program that does not function properly. So many people have wrote in…

Nikki thanks that should take care of the scans happening at any given time. I failed to mention that my outlook express also takes some time to open. I think its the BD email module slowing it up. Not only do I have slow page loads but firefox crashes alot too. Hangs then crashes. My system specks are EVGA 680i SLI…

Anyone else having random system scans? Even with scheduled scans turned off. Who here has noticed considerable page loads as well after installing BDIS 2011?
-
Thanks G. You guys here are quite good at helping people like myself find solutions to the problems you guys at Bitdefender have created for us.

So I uninstalled BDIS 2010 and with it went the issues with the Unknown devices from Device Manager. Instead of reinstalling BDIS 2010 I thought I'll give BDIS 2011 another go. I have to say this time everything from installing, updating, scanning and general usability has went smoothly. I have only had it installed for a…

Why would these reg entries showing up as devices in my manager anyway? Thanks for the replies and suggestions guys. Just don't want to uninstall reinstall.. Know what I mean... Yeah you do.

Then How do I get rid of those 3 "Other Devices" which are listed in in my device manager with question marks beside them? When I right click each of them and go to properties each state the locations of the above mentioned registry entries. This is not normal for device manager to show an "unknown device" which can not…

I uninstalled both 2010 and 2011 with the BD uninstall tool each and every time. I also use a registry cleaner that removes a lot of entries which the BD uninstall tool misses. After reinstalling 2011 the problems still persist. Bitdefenders new install process has also failed a couple times during 5 or 6 reattempts at…

I uninstalled BDIS 2011 and reinstalled BDIS 2010 which resolved all the issues that had been happening to my computers. I will follow these threads closer and wait to see improvement before I re-try BDIS 2011 Where could I view a list of updates made to the release of BDIS 2011 which differ from BDIS 2010?

Ok this really has to get solved I can't continue using this if this is what I have to deal with. Slow everything. Simple things like trying to watch a youtube clip takes so long to load. My gaming is suffering hugely as well and that just can't happen. Game Mode doesn't work and there is no way to manage games as it will…

Hi Daniel, so I did what you asked but what happened when I ran the supporttool was I believe sent the file to BD technical support. No file was created on my desktop. And I don't know where that file would reside on my computer if even it does.. Ok I had a look around the BD folder and found a "logging" folder which has a…

Why is Windows saying I have no antivirus when Bitdefender Internet Security is running. And yes the Antivirus module is running. The program is saying PROTECTED, No issues....
-
Yeah I just don't know about BD anymore. Tired of dealing with issues.

Hi there. I am running a evga 680i mobo with a 6850 dual core processor @ 3gigs, I have 2 gigs of DDR2 RAM. I am running windows XP pro. right now windows is alerting me that I should have anti virus yet BD 2011 is telling me all is well. I know this is a new version and can take time to work out the bugs but I really…

Does allowing an ip address like this compromise the integrity of a computer system? I was having the same problem as MAX was having just a bit ago as I could print via my wireless network only when I shut down the fire wire. Since allowing the appropriate ip address I can now print without having to disable my fire wire…
