  • After the 6th restart, i finally see the icon as protected. I have also posted here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry105882 Wrt zero values. Thanks.
  • Ignore the portion i mentioned about services loading, after the 6th restart it's working fine now. Although still same issue where the values are zero, that's worrying. Does the new update fixes this as per: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=24593
  • I was looking at the dashboard and felt queer so im glad i found this thread. At the same time, when i hover across the bdis 2011 icon at taskbar, it keeps showing: "Bitdefender services are loading now, please wait" I'm able to do scan and such but the values are still noted as Zero. Checked with my buddy who runs on the…
  • I like google chrome but i have the same ping problem similar to thread starter..... No choice but to stick with IE....
  • So the free on demand malwarebytes without the real time protection was not the problem right??? Well, it's really strange, i'm having this problem for the 1st time on the BDIS 2011 icon, when i hover over it keeps showing: "Bitdefender services are loading now, please wait" It only happened today, i have restarted my PC…
  • Bumping this up, anybody home?
  • For those who have no MB and have uninstalled it as well as re-installed BDIS, any updates if the services not responding with grey BD agent icon and slow crawl and lag still exists? I'm having the same intermittent issues and local distributor for BD is asking me to do the same steps and pin pointing to the on demand free…
  • I'm not sure if it's advisable to install multiple AVs into a single PC. An example will be like on my uncle's old pc, he had avast and kaspersky, they were clashing badly with one another, he couldn't receive emails from his outlook etc etc until i removed one of them. Imo, pairing malwarebytes' anti malware freeware with…
  • 5th day since the problems got solved. Anyone else still facing the inability to auto update? I checked with another 2 friends who are on BDIS 2010, he also manage to update now.
  • Same here, malwarebytes detected it as a virus.sality, guess this is a false positive since one of the web admin at malwarebytes confirmed it's a false positive and will be fixed in next update/patch. Just sharing, Cheers.
  • This is miraculous, i didn't do anything at all yet.... Just finished daily scan and when i checked on update, it was updating without having to disable firewall. Did you guys at BitD upload any patch fixes onto the latest updates that enabled this? Anyway, i will restart and monitor, at the same time, i have to prepare to…

  • Hello Immaculate28, Please try the steps described in this post and you should not encounter this issue after that. Thank you. Well, Alex, thanks for your rather prompt replies in this forum. However, the remedies in the link you provided doesn't help, in fact, the last reply you made on that link is exactly what i'm still…
  • Hmmm, my BDIS 2010 stopped updating 2 days back and won't update. Only way to resolve it was to go into Expert Mode and disable the firewall for 5 minutes, update BDIS and enable back the firewall. Hope that the BD team can really get some ultimatum solution to resolve this impending issue. I have a bunch of friends and…
  • Done, however, Bitdefender seems to be rather laggy, especially when i'm in windows explorer switching between different folders. My PC is rather new, C2D E6750, stock speed, 2GB ram etc etc......didn't have this weird short lag problem. Happens when i'm trying to click on a scan to do normal or deep scan, it doesn't…
  • Thanks Cris, im gonna try it out soon, it's good to know BD has efficient replies pertaining to end user's queries.
  • Hi All, I got rid of every possible virus/trojan i could find.....however, there is this: Application.Whenu.Savenow.V detected in C:\System Volume Information\_restore{B8D64EF0-AF55-4743-A008-9642D3149954}\RP118\A0038980.exe=](NSIS o)=]zlib_nsis0010 Application.Whenu.Savenow.V Delete Failed (file was in an archive) I'm…
  • Thanks Cris for answering my queries. Yup, i did that and i am still amazed that BDIS 2008 can detect so well!!! Deleted the infected emails already and ran a scan earlier, so far so good, i'm clean!! Although there seems to be some "problems" whenever im trying to manually update the virus signatures, once awhile it gets…
  • Hmm, doesn't this make myself purchasing the Bit Defender Internet Security 2008 futile?? I have a feeling that i won't be able to clear the virus because it is inside an archived email folder. I will try soon and update you with the online scanner, thanks. Edit: Btw, if i click delete first and delete second, won't it…

  • Hi, i found this information in the web. klick greets loony Thanks but my question now is how do i go about clearing away the infected files inside the .mbx files? Do i have to import the .mbx files to outlook and manually delete? Will it risk having an infection?
