I was having the exact same issue as those in the threads above. Since there is no resolution noted here, this is what I did to solve this issue: In Bitdefender Privacy, go to Video and Audio Protection Settings. Disable microphone access on the applications you choose not to popup, do not delete them. This worked for me.
