I never had such an issue with my renewal. There should be something wrong, you need to contact support and let them know about the problem and they will surely make your renewal process simple.

No, I don't think that you need to purchase it again as it is only costs once and you can use it in many years to come.

I guess this is not an issue that should bother you much because everyone would like to introduce its new products to its customers hoping that they will provide them more business so I am not sure that bitdefender will stop to advertise its new packages and products to its customers.

I am having the same issue on my i5 , it slows down considerably while updating but otherwise it is working fine. I think it is a common thing so we do not have to worry much about it.
