I'm suffering similar problems, with my laptop's drive not responding from time to time, in the middle of a normal day. Reason for habing HD at 100%, as I can see, is intensive usage by BD Update Downloader Mine is a MS Surface Pro, i7, 16 GB RAM, SSD 512 GB, so it clearly can't be a system's requirements issue.
