Is there any status update on the resolution of this issue??? I'm just wondering whether to just uninstall Bitdefender and wait for it to be fixed. My machine gets so hot that I'm worried it will do permanent damage.

I'm experiencing the EXACT SAME issue. High CPU with bdagentd process (90-95%). That process is also writing 50-60 GB of info to my hard drive and my battery is losing 10% power every 10-15 minutes. PLEASE HELP!!!
