  • @Chris, the amount of time this issue has been going on for is a total disgrace. As you are aware I've solved the problem myself by uninstalling BD2012 TS from my two pc's and using a competitiors internet security package which not only works but also found a number of trojans on my machine that both BD2011 TS and BD2012…
  • That's weird, that folder should exist at the location you mentioned in all Windows 7 builds. Maybe there's a problem with displaying that folder, not with Bitdefender. Can you open a Command Prompt, cd to the Windows parent folder and type "dir /adhs"? Well here are the results for what it's worth: Directory of C:\Windows…
  • Hi The folder is hidden in Explorer. You need to check Show hidden files and folders and you will that folder with cookies. Thank you. If you had read my previous post properly you would have seen I have files and folders set to show all hidden, another reason why I have dumped BD2012 TS with almost a years worth of…
  • Another month has passed since anyone from BD posted to let us know the devs were working on a fix for this issue. No fix yet, nothing to keep us informed and worse still no deadline for a fix! Can someone at BD please give us some information, you must know by now what is causing this issue and at least have an estimate…
  • I've just discovered that due to this issue if I have block port scans switched on this disconnects my new tv from the dnla server even though a firewall rule is set up to allow everything on the the tv ip address. BD 2012 TS x64 constantly blocks port scans from the ip addresses in my own network. Since changing from…
  • Ahem, anyone from BD care to respond? This in my opinion is an extremely serious flaw leaving BD open to legal action should an individual get infected becasue the software has decided to "downgrade" it's settings without user intervention so why would it seem no one is taking this seriously?
  • I don't need to know what a cookie is I need to know why BD 2012 is finding cookies in a directory that does not exist on my PC over and over again. FYI I'm using IE9 and have show all hidden folders and files switched on and the directory is not where BD2012 TS x64 is reporting it is. When I do a full scan nothing is…
  • Thias issue is still happening, no response from BD staff after 3 days
  • I also have this problem amoungst an increasing amount of others. It would seem the longer you have BD 2012 on your machine the longer the list of issues gets. Is anyone actually looking into these issues as there are very few responses to posts in these forums of late.
  • It's done it again tonight after deleting everyting from quarantine again, the same 20 cookies flagged as infected file quarantined. Can someone please respond to my problem please?
  • Still got the same problem here too, yet another problem that has not been resolved within a reasonable time frame I mean almost 4 months since this thread alone was started, is anyone actually fixing anything in Bitdefender these days? That's a third of someones license time, totally unreasonable tbh and I doubt I shall…
  • Can someone please give us an update on when this issue will be fixed? The length of time to resolve some of the issues in these forums is beyond a joke tbh
  • Can't a whitelist be added the same as previous releases of BD? At least that way I would be able to stop the events being logged on games etc? How this works at present makes no sense at all and to me is a step backwards.
  • I'm also very disapointed with this, why on earth does BD need to log the fact you have started playing a game at all? For the minor few gamers amoungst us this needs to be removed, I do not want to know virus control has been switched off when starting a game etc. then back on when the game is closed. In addition what…
  • Any idea on when this fix will be implemented yet? I'm still getting this problem and it's now some 4 months now since it was first reported 2011 seems to have been a poor year (IMHO) for Bit Defender, I had serious issues with BD TS 2011 x64 which never worked for me properly and although it has lesser issues BD TS 2012…
  • It's definately not a screen saver in my case as I do not have one in use. As already stated in my previous post it only seems to happen when Game Mode is checked, the alerts happen when starting a game or something else running in full screen mode triggers it e.g. playing a dvd movie full screen as per the observation by…
  • My point on the Game Mode causing this is I've always used Game Mode and never had these alert messages until a few weeks ago. Surely it's a pointless alert, we know what Game Mode does, it would be better if you did not get any alert recorded when Game Mode is activated/deactivated.
  • For me it looks like the Autoscan events are now kicking in when Game Mode is active. I've just tested this and sure enough I'm getting events logged when in Game Mode, maybe someone else can check this by switching off Game Mode to see if the events still happen? Why has this just started happening, more to the point how…
  • I've also been getting this problem for the last couple of weeks. This has happened 3 times in the last 1.5hrs alone, the longest period of it being reported off is over half an hour. I also started getting Safebox Auto Sync disabled warnings even though I have never used Safebox or ever switched on autosync for Safebox.…
  • Same for me with my DNS servers even when added to whitelist. I brought this issue up a month ago and I'm still waiting for a response to my pm's and a solution
  • Danny, I'm having a similar problem which has just started on BD2012 Total Security. Basically I'm getting a port scan detected and blocked message from my ISP DNS servers IP addresses, this has just started happening within the last two days. Nothing I've turned off or on has stopped these messages. Apologies for jumping…
  • I have not seen this detection with IE9 on my Win7 Pro x64 laptop. I am running BDAV Pro 2011. Which BD product do you have installed? Regards, BD2011 Total Security x64 on Win 7 Home 64bit, thankfully I was given a choice before any files were deleted etc. so all ok now.
  • All well and good but the PM I received asked me to do the following: "Hi Norman, Since you have reinstall the 2010 version please only generate the autoruns logs as explained below then send me via email the results: Please follow the steps below and send us the result: a) Please go to this page…
  • I can't sent the logs you require with the PM I sent as the file is over 3Mb, as requested please forward an email address I can send these too. Hello all, I am very sorry for the encountered situation and for the negative experience with our product and our support. I know this reply comes a little bit late but I will try…
  • You'll notice the outstanding support we're all getting from the team....NOT, what a joke BD is turning out to be, just reading through the more up to date posts and it would appear this is quite the opposite of a support forum. BD's wheels appear to be falling off, for what used to be one of the better antivirus software…
  • Still trying to get this to work, I've lost count of how many times I've manually updated, rebooted and ran repairs and nothing is fixing it. This has to be the worst software ever and lack of support doesn't help. If I have no response by tomorrow (a full week with no reply is a disgrace!) I think I'll go buy a…
  • Another day and no response and guess what same problem again upon booting my machine. Roll on yet another night of rebooting, manually updating and resetting BD2011. Will someone at least acknowledge they have my log files and are looking at them?
  • Same for me, posted my logs 5 days ago and not even a response in the forum posts let alone a fix As I've already said elsewhere in other posts I ran 2010 and did not have a problem but ever since changing to 2011 I've had various problems almost everyday. Based upon my experiences with BD2010 I've advised other people to…
  • It's been 5 days now since sending in my log files, is anyone looking at this and more importantly do you have a fix yet? Turning off a feature is not a fix in my view
  • It's not only wireless connections that do this. I get this and do not use wireless at all, infact it's turned off in my Netgear DG834GT.
