But with re-installing the version downgraded so maybe it is still a SW issue. Bitdefender version 3.3.221.2334 (NOK) -> Bitdefender version 3.3.217.2317 (OK).

Thank you! I did update the app yesterday and same problem persists so Update app didn't help. Today contacted the support: It now works OK after completely removing the Bitdefender app and then re-install it again from the app store and configure it from scratch.
