The issue is not fixed. The update simply does the same thing as the patch that was tried earlier. It removes the AVC HV device but does not reinstall it with the correct driver. Both my dual-core and quad-core systems still have the AVC HV device functioning properly after this update, so it is still supposed to be there.…
Yeah I'm rather upset about all of this and now I'm sorry I ever bought it. I know mistakes happen and they just screwed up an update but that's not what bothers me, what bothers me is thier response to it. They keep telling me it's just a visual problem and it's not affecting functionality but that's a bunch of bull. A…

I restored from that image and the device works fine, but as soon as I update bitdefender the problem reappears. It's definitely a problem caused by a bitdefender update that came out sometime between Oct 20th and now. I tried the…
Ok I tried it again only I added a pause to the end of avchv_reinstall.cmd so I could see what it's doing since it closed the window before. It does remove the avchv device but it errors on the reinstall saying.. "Too many processors found: 8 Incompatible CPU detected."
I'm having the same problem. I'm running an 8 core AMD and Windows 8.1 Pro. I ran the patch in safe mode but it only appears to have uninstalled the device, it's not in device manager anymore.
