Got this exact same problem on my PC no game software loading on startup yet its switching to game mode every boot, just started happening today for me, maybe something was updated that screwed things up =/ This problem is now fixed for me with the latest patch 18.14.0.1088. Thanks

I have a similar problem using the game list method of switching but in my case it switches to autopilot mode instead of back to user mode which is what I use, hopefully this gets looked at although I have very little confidence in that happening I should add that I use BD Internet Security 2014.

Yep, the update can't finish the download (it seems) Same problem here just reinstalled after testing eset 6 , not a good way to convince me to return to this product.

Just completed another full scan , no threats found & it updated the last scanned correctly, no idea why it didn't do it the other day, anyway just glad I've got it working

Chromes working fine here, I use Dev version 17.0.963.12 at the moment with several extensions like click clean , adblocker etc, it could be an extension thats upsetting things for you.

I'll add a few more, I can't login to google mail, it gets 90% along the load bar then stops & times out,switching to the basic html version works, I use chrome.
