Hi, sorry about the excessive amount of threads, I will try not to do that again. I was just trying to get some answers as I was quite panicked at the time.

Would this be the same as going into appwiz and clicking uninstall?

Ok, checking windows settings, metered connection is off. I set cmd prompt as administrator and ran some ipconfig/netsh commands with windows firewall off as support said and that didn’t work either. I haven’t gotten a BD update for about a week now, should I be concerned about my PC’s security?

Hi @Alexandru_BD I have already tried using the system tray and it displays the same error. I also do not have any 3rd party firewalls (just windows firewall). Also, is it possible that you edit your post to remove my location (just for privacy)? Thank you! I will try checking on if I have a data cap later.

Hi, I actually already created one. However, they asked for further information so I guess I will wait until after the weekend.

Hi, thanks but I just realised something. I think its a build version that I can't download and not an engine version so offline updates may not work. My current build is 26.0.30.102, which is outdated compared to 26.0.32.109 which is the latest. Is this something serious that I need to install?

Hello, thank you for the reply! Step 1 and 2 did not work, but I have contacted support with all the logs you said. What should I do in the mean time? Windows defender thinks that Bitdefender is outdated still.

Hello, after some thinking, I've figured out it's probably due to Razer Synapse updating (my mouse/keyboard software). I no longer use razer products and after uninstalling it seems that the cpu usage is much better.

Hi @Scott, I am running Windows 10 21H2 with Bitdefender Free. I just tried a restart and this time it only took a couple minutes for bdservicehost to calm down. Not really sure why this happens but if it starts again I might contact support.

No, I have no previous licenses.

Any answers?

Hello, sure.

Hi, the issue is I do not see the VPN in the uninstall program section. I am using the free version so I shouldn't even have it installed. When I click on the VPN, nothing opens.

Hi, I tried step 1 which changed the engine version to 7.92906 instead of the previous 7.92996 which I'm not sure if that's good. Right after it installed, I got the same update error and I made a support ticket a while ago so I think I will wait for that. Reinstalling also gave me a vpn app I can't open so I also deleted…

My PC has 16 GB of ram, so maybe. I currently only have Chrome, Task Manager, and Discord open so I'm not really too sure on why it's using this much.

Hi @Nunzio d'Abbruzzo, it has gone down to about 250 MB and after restarting it jumped to about 500 MB. Not sure if this is just me though.
