Updated to the latest version of PIA(v. 73), but the issue still remains. At the very least it's not as bad. The icon goes red, but the VPN is still connected. PIA support recommended I do a full reinstall of PIA and if the problem persists to send them a debug log. I have another device running Windows 7 that I left on overnight running Bitdefender 2018 and PIA.
