Just installed Norton, no problems. Cost £10 most, but I don't have to spend hours at the PC trying to get it to work. Thanks to Christian for his efforts. Cheers Pete

I've come to the conlusion that any bit of software that is so difficult to install is not worth the effort. So I will be installing Norton as it's been on my other PC for a couple of years with no problems and it installed fitst time. Cheers Pete

Christian, Sorry to say it failed yet again. It maybe time to give up with Bitdefender, which is a shame. But if it won't install what can we do? It's the only bit of software I've had problems with. I did have Bitdefender a couple of years ago and had no problems with that! Cheers Pete

Christian. Did as you asked, removed webroot & MS Essentials. Malwarebytes is the free one. I used the clean up software to remove any traces of old security software, I ran ccleaner. Rebooted after each of these steps. I downloaded BD isecurity and installed the program. Unfortunately the same errors occurred. I have PM'd…
