This is a long-standing issue. I have had this problem ever since I first started using Bitdefender (many, many years ago). This happens everytime Bitdefender detects a virus. The only way I've found to re-enable the option, is to restart the PC and to try again.

I have the exact same issue. I am disappointed that seemingly nobody has had an answer for you. Here's to hoping that this gets more attention.
