Oh, problem solved. When I restarted the computer after updating BitDefender, the problem seemed to be fixed. I've restarted so many times tonight, I can't believe I didn't think to do it then.

By the way, I found the article that said that this message is rare, and what I need to do is to click "update now" to ensure I have the patch released on May 8. I did that. It didn't help.
