it is in the program list but the remove option is unavailable. i only manage to downgrade it to ie6, but the problem persist. the iexplore.exe is still there. now, seriously, cant bitdefender do anything?

go into safe mode do a deep scan, the only time it cant be removed is if the files are in us,such as system files,if u cant remove still,then post where the virues is located, and i can try to give u instructions on how to remove it.keep in mind to have a good spyware remove.

i needed to now what file are in fected, if u cant remove it, it is proble because the files are in us and bit defender cant remove files that are in us, so first go in to safe mode and try a deep scan and try removeing it there,if that doesnt work. post what files are infected so i know what files to tell u to uninstall…

first thing did you try unintsalling internet and instll firefox,(download firefox first),u see if there is a virues in the internet explore removeing it will delet the virues,so u install firefox so u can reinstall internetexplore,sec what spyware programs do u have?some times a virues can only be picked bye a spyware…

its good to have a program for virues and a program for spyware and adware,its like a double firewall.

well bitdefender is a good program and all but make sure u have a anti spyware that protects your computer,bit defenders anti spyware is not very good,try but one of the following to help block your ports,stopzilla,ad aware se,superanti spyware conflicts with bitdefender,any of the top 10 2009 ant spyware,

u have the lastest updates installed and try runing these freware programs for any left over malware,(ad aware se) free edition,Yes butdefender hass a build in anti spyware but i found it to be not very good,do a manual scan in safe mode because bitdefender is not safe mode ready,

So i have found out that super anti-spyware will conflict with bitdefenerTotal security 2008 and stop it from updateing i hope this info will help someone
