Yep, Basically the same thing here. Slowed down my wife's system like crazy. Uninstalled through add/remove and had the issue of uninstall failed, restarted and uninstall finshed correctly. Then used the bitdefender uninstall tool to remove the rest of the crap and that worked and DID remove more junk. Then ran the heck…

I think I already asked this, or, if not, that's exactly why I'm here now! I've NEVER had to restart so often with ANY AV before, and I've used/tested a ton of them!

Can't edit above post already! Man, I hate forums like this that don't allow you to edit your own stuff! Anyway, I lied above. Still can't complete a speed test, in IE, at speedtest.net and the one's that do work in my other browsers, the upload absolutely stinks!

FWIW, I have been able to do speed tests on those sites now, but not because of anything I did. They both just take some time to do their thing, compared to how they used to run.

I think OP was asking about excluding files BEFORE they were even scanned? I KNOW that's what I'm asking about! I have 2 folders that I DO NOT want scanned, but can not tell BD not to scan them. Every other AV in the world has that ability!
