Thanks for comments on this, and your investigations. It has been a while since i posted it, and gotten used to not using VPN on my mobile. Then i considered the option of having an old mobile phone in the car for Android Auto apps, but of course that would need a mobile subscription, which kind of eliminates that option…

Thanks for response. But it is indeed in relation to Bitdefender. I found it under Accessibility options and installed Apps. Shortcut to Bitdefender Mobile Security. I now deactivated it, as it does not provide shortcut to anything useful.

Thank you for rapid clarification. Useful links. It also says, the Premium VPN have unlimited traffic quota (not the same as bandwidth, right). It seems Bitdefender also works fine on Android devices, my current subscription only covers 3 devices, will have to update it to 5, current subscription expires in June anyways,…
