I would say, especially as Bitdefender is so flakey under Vista, that the answer is: Uninstall BitDefender, install the important SP2 update, don't bother reinstalling Bitdefender. This is the second false positive I have come accross in recent months as I use Mozilla Firefox and Open Office, it removed important files…
