  • did you answer my question? and was i satisfied with your answer? and what has the sendspace.com to do with my question? why do you even bother to post something unless you really can NOT answer my question? because my question were not where i can upload but my question was: old malware and viruses that were detected long…
  • old malware and viruses that were detected long time ago by Heuristic and today when i scan them they are NOT detected by Bitdefender but by many other anti-virus , how come? Upload the samples to http://www.sendspace.com/ archived with "infected" password and post the link here.
  • Can you please tell the name of the detections ?
  • Several days ago, i shocked, my Kingston 4GB Thumb Drive was infected by a virus. How i know it? My Thumb Drive empty, but still have 146MB on it. (use properties). i have try using ADRC to recover my deleted files (i guess so..) unfortunately, i cannot find it. I am very disappointed because any anti-virus software i have…
  • Updated as of today and I am still having this issue, I am starting to get concerned! Are you getting the same detection names? Post a scan log please.
  • Detection is fixed now. Wait for next update and files should not be detected anymore.
  • Yes, it's a FP on a new heuristic detection.
  • From yestarday i m using Bitdefender 2010 Total security Beta 1 and it detects this file mobsync as generic trojan! Should i delete it? Update to latest definitions and perform another scan. It shouldn't be detected anymore.
  • It should be resolved since the morning update. It was a false heuristic detection only on the memory dumps of those files. Please update to latest definitions. Have a nice day.
  • Lamron333, first of all, re-enable Real Time Protection. That's the most important feature of any AV. When trying to re-install these addons what kind of message does BitDefender shows you? Is it detection?
  • Hi Loers, Regarding all those undetected supposed malware on your computer. Only from the screenshots you've attached, I can see those files are patches and cracks and this kind of files are always heuristically detected by a few AV's, even if they are clean. However, sometimes they are bundled with malware, but in this…
  • Hi could you please eliminate all the false positives as reported by AV Comparatives? A list of the false positives detected by BitDefender Anti-Virus is on page 16 in the following file. http://www.av-comparatives.org/images/stor...vc_report21.pdf a billion thanks if you do this!!! Hemanth Hi, Those false positives were…
  • Hello Kurt, Sorry for the late answer. It was heuristic detection and was resolved shortly after you posted. So, now the file shouldn't be detected anymore.
  • Sorry, I'm slow. Does "Detection will be removed shortly." mean that this is not a virus or trojan etc. (ie it is nothing to worry about)? (Bitdefender just did the same quarantining on my machine). Thanks Jon Yes, it was a false positive, but it should be fixed using the latest updates. Have a nice day.
  • BD Internet Security 2008 just identified and moved a file to quarantine that was supposedly infected with Trojan.AgentMB.DWTU1214221. This was an install file for irfanview 4.01. I had done a deep system scan a couple of days and nothing was detected. This file has been on my system for quite awhile. I keep it in a…
  • Hi, I love my BitDefender but it was driving me crazy by regularly telling me that it had blocked an infection of Mebroot.b on my drive d:\, which is an empty cd drive, so I knew I had a false positive reading. But do what I could, I was unable to find the problem file. I finally found a solution. I downloaded and ran the…

  • Thanks Danton. Euh, question: do you also cut off heads? lol! Have a nice day! Chris P.S.: how do I close post with resolved? I cut off heads only when I'm really . Don't worry about the topic/post.
  • Thank you for keeping me posted. Good work. Detection will be removed after next update. That should be in a few hours. Have a nice day!
  • We're working on it. Thanks for the report.
  • I downloaded a mod for Grand Theft Auto, but I can't use it because BitDefender keeps reporting it as a trojan (Trojan.Generic.379163). Here is the full mod I downloaded, but it's the .exe file that BitDefender keeps blocking. Detection will be removed after next update.
  • Did a scan with the AVIS program and it is picking stuff up that the Total Security does not! Does not good! AVIS shouldn't be used for scanning files. It contains some heuristic routines that sometimes can generate false alarms. Please use AVIS only for cleaning or logging purposes. From the attached log, i see these…

  • I have recently encountered this "virus" which installs itself in the registry run folder, thereby attempting to launch the .exe and related .bat files stored in the temp directory. This was not detected by BitDefender Antivirus 2008 and I can find very little info on the web relating to this and its removal. For now, I…

Also the System Information Volume has a denied access error now. The virus also blocked helpful websites e.g. Google, Bitdefender forums so I did a system restore and now i can get back…
