  • When using an offline installer, it just installs BD on your PC. But the thing with any security software is that it needs to have the latest virus definitions. I can recall that a check online is made every hour just to make sure it's updated. Any security software is only as good as it's virus database.
  • You shouldn't get that error especially when browsing Facebook. Can you check the clock settings on your computer and make sure it's up to date? Turn off Scan SSL. Check the guide below. http://www.bitdefender.com/support/what-to...alled-1090.html
  • I think they have a good reason for that. Maybe because the rules are just too tight and you get pop ups every time. I think they also have a statistic that only a few users are using this.
  • FTP has a default tcp port of 21. Are you using other ports than that? Some of them uses port 22. Try to add the port instead.
  • Quoting Georgia's reply here. With Bitdefender 2015 you can disable these notifications: click the user button from the upper right corner of the product -> select General Settings -> switch to OFF "Display special offers and product notifications". That should fix it for you.
  • Just to answer the question, I've seen issues like this already and it is caused by an incorrect time in the computer. Try checking that first.
  • Here you go. The full list of steps. http://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-do-...count-1112.html
  • Edit your post and remove you email address. Or else, you'll get a lot of spam. Have you also checked the junk for spam folder if it's there?
  • Check below. Same error message, just with a different issue. But I think it's worth the try resetting to factory default. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#...ube/21R-bX-bqpY
  • Bdagent.exe I this is the process for BitDefender main interface. I can't be too sure but it might be that time that the installer went ahead and checked hourly updates which is essential.
  • I am not really sure but I've seen those behavior on other security software. I just kill them on the task manager. I'm not sure yet if that can be considered as a feature request to kill those process along.
  • 3. It is using too much memory. It uses more than 200mb of memory at times when I'm not doing anything. I reinstalled several times but it happens everytime. What process is this? 2. There is no option to manually update the virus definition. It's ok but it is disturbing when my network connection is causing problems.…
  • These updates are frequent (I think they may happen every hour) Good deal. If that's the case, there's no need for a manual update I think.
  • Hit on Run, then type services.msc. Look for BitDefender Virus Shield service and start it. Make sure that start up type is automatic too. Enjoy.
  • Try to add the ports below onto your firewall. Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Source: http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-360/net...-used-xbox-live
  • 9 months of free BIS is a pretty good deal! Thanks for the post.
  • Maybe it ran an initial scan on those audio files the reason why it was a temporary issue. Once it tagged it as safe, maybe it will skip it in future scans. But yes, I would leave it the way as it is for now.
  • Confirmed still missing. This is really useful when updating versions every year.

  • Quoting this from a separate site. I hope this helps you out. You need to find and run the Inbox Repair Tool. It's called scanpst.exe and it's location depends on the version of Outlook you are using. For Outlook 2007 it's in Program Files\Microsoft Offcie\Office12. Post back if you can't find it as I can point you to a…
  • Found it here. http://www.bitdefender.com/Downloads/ But it doesn't say 2015 yet. Maybe it's still not available.
  • Hi. Although I haven't installed this yet, reviews have been positive so far for this version. Which specific process is taking a lot of memory consumption and how much does it take on average?
in Bis Service Comment by darge July 2014
  • That is correct. I think that's the new security protocol of Java recently. That will only apply to https sites I believe. I also helps if you lower the security bar to the lowest but not recommended. I think this is non BD related.
  • You may need to check again if there are still some traces of security software installed on your machine. See below as what Christian commented. http://forum.bitdefender.com/lofiversion/i...php/t40765.html
  • Adding the program might not be enough. See the discussion below. http://steamcommunity.com/app/234530/discu...739861995567579 Try to add these ports for Steam only and see if you still get disconnected. Steam Client UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive (Game client traffic) UDP 27015 to 27030 inclusive (Typically Matchmaking and…
  • This is by using an email client, correct? Try to disable the toolbar and disable Antispam too and see if that takes out the blank email issue.
  • This has been an issue in the past. Just download and install Ccleaner and let it clean the temp folder. Also make sure that your version is updated.
  • What do you mean by cancelled? Do you mean that you initiated this? By the way, here you for your remaining time. Bitdefender offers a 30-day money back guarantee! If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you have 30 days from the date of purchase (not install) to request a refund by using this Contact form.…
  • By the way, why is there no option to just upgrade right away to 2015? It's much easier to do this and it can cut the work in have and minimize issue. Is this something that BS is aware already?
  • Additionally, where can I see the change logs for the final version? It's seem to be posted on BD site yet.

  • Found these ports. Try to add them up at your firewall. I think that should be good already. Your network must be configured to allow Steam access to the following ports (in order from highest to lowest priority for QoS users): Steam Client UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive (Game client traffic) UDP 27015 to 27030 inclusive…
