  • Update: 11) Tried update but didn't see any patch. Reinstalled BD 2015 instead and all went smoothly. Guess the issue is now fixed.

  • Update: 9) I am afraid the error has returned. 10) The issue seems isolated to Windows 7 64Bit system and not 32bit system. Wondering also whether anyway BD 2015 can be reverted back to the previous build (i.e 18.20.0.1429) for those Windows 7 64Bit systems with these recurring errors while things are sorted out??

  • 1) Encountered the same issue for my Windows 7 HP SP1 system but not Windows 7 SP1 32Bit system. 2) The error was listed in the Event Logs as "The Bitdefender Virus Sheild Service has terminated unexpectedly.
