Still does not change the fact that something this BIG should NEVER have been released and to top that off the customer service was pretty atrocious.... Didn't know that not having BD come to your door with an apology letter on a silver platter and having someone give you a foot massage while getting someone else to fix…
I'll be happy with a "I survived Trojan.FakeAlert.5" t-shirt. XXL organic cotton, please. What about compensating BD for each of the other 364 days of each year when ###### does not happen? Let's count ourselves lucky we didn't get any of the 4 previous internal FakeAlert test releases, if that's what they were. Wow. I…
How much is BitDefender paying you to take up for them? You are assuming that BD hired me. Tisk Tisk. It seems you do not know what they say about assuming so I will tell you: When you ''assume'' you make an ''*ss'' out of ''u'' (you) and ''me''. I do not work for BitDefender, I'm only 16.
Easy on BitDefender? Why? Their negligence has caused havoc around the world. I'm still assessing the damage caused by their negligence. Steps to fix the problem: 1. Uninstall Bitdefender 2. A fix for the update system will be posted to our KB soon and that should repair the update system as to allow you to repair BitDefender and restore your files from quarantine. Please bear a little longer. A revert has been uploaded and some of the users have already received it. Here's to hoping this post doesn't get…
7. Tell people how to handle moving files back out of quarantine.. ex. should we replace existing files if they got re-created by Windows Thats what I would like to know right now...
I have: Virus signatures: 5474032 Engine version: 7.30848 What do you do with quarantine files that already have a file with the same name in its place?
I'm having the same problem and I have vista x64. I've updated BD and it says "Last update installed successfully" and there does not seem to be any more "Trojan.FakeAlert.5" alerts popping up anymore. This started while I was playing a game, and since the game crashed often I kept Task manager open on my second screen. A…
