Fortunately, I had made a System Restore point just before this hit. I was able to get my system back online with no bad effects that I can see. The only program that is not working is BitDefender. I have disabled that and will not be using it again. It's a trust thing. Sorry.

When an update is released, they will most likely also update the weekly update exe file that you can run. When BD is updated that way, you should be able to run BD as you could before. Ok, that's good news. Is anyone from BD on here that can tell us when this is ready and that it will do what L.o.D. says?

When they issue a new update, there's no reason that you won't be able to un-quarantine those files after. That's good, but how do I run BD while it is quarantined?

Are you guys on Windows 7 64bit? The same thing is being posted on the German forum and that's the thing they have in common. I'm on Vista 64bit

I'm getting this too. Before I could shut off BitDefender it quarantined most of my system, including BitDefender itself! What do I do? Most programs do not work. The computer barely booted (did some kind of repair first). How do I unquarantine the files without BitDefender? HELP!
