Ok, the reverse is just to exclude the Bitdefender folder in Malwarebytes. I'll try these and report back. I'm running Win 7 64bit, btw.

I can report after a number of days that the crashes have stopped with the Malwarebytes service disabled. I could try the exceptions that the other poster mentioned above - would be helpful if Phil would post a link to the Malwarebytes exceptions thread. Also, assuming the problem is a Malwarebytes conflict, how will I know when this conflict is resolved? Does Bitdefender perform the same service as Malwarebytes "Malicious website protection"? Hi Steve, Thank you for the update, I am indeed running Malwarebytes on the machine. I will attempt to disable "Malicious website protection" and see what happens. Update thus far: I used the uninstaller and reinstalled Total Security 2016. The crashes are still happening. The uninstaller actually looped through 5-7 passes…
