Do you have the slowdown only when accessing certain websites or when accessing all websites? Also, please tell me what other add-ons do you have installed in IE8 besides the BitDefender toolbar. Disabled all other add ons to test and just tried to go to multiple random sites.

I tried the suggestion by I Hate Antivirus and added it as a scheduled task to run once a day, it work perfect, but BD needs to fix the problem. PS. I have run every uninstall tool and reinstalled BD multiple times and it wont reduce the VM by itself.

BD team replied a fix is coming as part of a regular update

I also had this problem and contacted support , never got an answer. A work around I did was to create a folder with the second identities name and then create a message rule any message to that identity goes to that folder. Not a fix or good for two users but works.

I am currently running BitDefender 2008 AntiVirus on a Vista 32-bit Dell.
