can anyone tell me how long the rescue cd takes to work? mine seems to freeze up about two minutes into the process, then turns to a black screen after about ten minutes... help! i can get to the blue screen that alerts me bd will now restore files, then nothing happens

You should get a live cd... so you could at least access your data, move it to an external drive... and then just format...
