Hello That option was not removed, is still there. Please check the attached screenshot. Have a great weekend! Yes, that's what it used to look like! The difference I see is yours is Total security and mine is BDAV Plus 2012. So they downgraded me! Why? Here's what mine looks like now. (see attached)

Yep, that fixed it. Thanks!

Hi Christian, It seems I still have the original problem though it seems it is the same issue as another thread I can't find right now. I get the alerts when ever I open VLC in full screen mode. You didn't post the solution directly in the forum and wonder if this issue will be fixed in future updates? If not, I would like…

Hello In this case, let's try something else: Please follow the steps below and send me the generated log file: 1. Download this file: http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...ile/sysdump.exe Looking forward to your answer! Take care. The sysdump did work, however after today's update, it seems the problem was…

Hello In this case, please try to run it in Safe Mode. [How to restart in SAFE MODE With Networking] - Restart the computer; - Press the "F8" key several times before Microsoft Windows begins to load; you need to press "F8" until you will be displayed a text menu; - Select "SAFE MODE With Networking" Send it over PM and I…

The installation can be made fully offline. When you are prompted by the installation kit to check for a new version, just choose No. Ok Christian, I tried it again on a friends XP-SP3 computer with updates current to today. There is at no time a prompt to say "No" to "check for a new version." The installation guide…

Hello First of all all, it is not a CD, it is a DVD. Do you have a DVD unit on your PC? The installation kit is around 250 MB, most of it are definitions and required software like Microsoft .Net and Microsoft C++ Redistributable. You could also download the offline kit from your work PC and put it on an USB stick and…
-
Hello shpshftr, Because the full install kits are compiled at much longer intervals, certain product components might get updated in the meantime. In order to avoid downloading additional files, you have 2 options. Either select No and let automatic updates do its job after install is finished or download the automated…

I meant to say: One more thing. I assume by your response that the AVC (Active Virus Control Exclusion List) is nonfictional?
-
One more thing. I assume by your response that the AVC (Active Virus Control) is nonfictional? I also find it interesting that Win7 sees BDAV 2011 as having a firewall when it doesn't. I wonder if that's why it won't work with other firewalls because BDAV is taking control of the Firewall module and blocking access to it…

Ah yes this version finally automatically updated to the 330 build. And the Anti Phishing toolbar still works. Now i am 98% sure it was related to the programs installer type. Oh well, for me this problem is solved. I fixed mine too but differently. I turned off AntiPhishing in BD and completely uninstalled Firefox after…

Hello Shpshftr, I understand your frustration however you should also keep in mind that what you describe in your topic is normal to happen. You mentioned in the first place TUT. That software will try tweak your PC and make some changes into the System files so I find it normal to crash as BitDefender will consider it as…

Yeah that is how it looks for me as well in Firefox. And at least it is good to see that the type of installer is apparently not the cause then as far as my build not becoming the 330 build. The Virus signatures where this morning: Virus signatures: 6249592 Engine Version: 7.34681 Right now they are: Virus Signatures:…
-
Strange while you have the build DanyDan mentioned. Two different builds with the same problem, with the difference that you could update to 330 build while i can not so it seems. Would there be a difference if you install it with a ofline installer or a online installer? I used the offline full version installer because I…

I have the same issue with Firefox 3.6.12.

The problem is continuing as before. Any update or reboot causes the alerts to reappear.
-
It seems I spoke too soon. The reset is back today while doing an update (as soon as it contacts the update server before any download begins). But to answer your question, it reapplies the settings after any cold boot, it doesn't matter how long the computer is off. shpshftr <out>
-
I did 5 updates yesterday with no changes to the Alert Status options. When I booted up this morning the same two alerts were back. It looks like this problem is almost solved. I wonder why the cold boot makes a difference?
-
One more thing I noticed last night. When I do a manual update and before it begins to download but right at the point it connects with the update server, I get an alert in the sys tray icon, you know, the little triangle with the ! in the center? The alert stays on even when I cancel the connection (before the download…

I PM'd you an alternate e-mail address. I used your instructions and found something interesting / confusing. When alerts are off all registry values are 0... And when I get the alert after an update the registry values remain at 0 (very odd). When I do a reboot then check the registry, all values have remained at 0 and I…

Still haven't received your PM.

Yes I do read your post before replying. Considering the fact that the support tool is not working, I have sent you via email instructions on how to use other tool to generate the logs I need to further investigate. My apologies if the previous post was not clear enough. Please reply to my email, send me the logs and also…

Hello, Please check your email address associated with your forum account, Follow the steps and send me back the generated log files. Thank you! What does my e-mail account have to do with whether the support tool works or not? Clarification: When I run the support tool, it never finishes...I let it run for 4 hours and it…

As I said in my first post, I uncheck all of them but the two in the picture consistently recheck by themselves every time I reboot and / or run an update, but occasionally I've had up to 4 recheck themselves but not recently (Last 3-4 weeks). I will send you a PM with the support tool ticket ID as soon as it finishes.…

Hello Shpshftr, First of all please tell me what boxes are you checking exactly and what boxes are still checked / unchecked after computer restart. Only the two from the screenshot ? Have you tried to check any other boxes (i.e. Firewall status, Antispam status etc) and see if the issue also reproduce. If the issue still…
