Same here, problem is known for months and no fix in sight. I even tested Bitdefender 2014 beta, bug is present there, also. I'm not renewing my subscription on this AV.

I reinstalled Bitdefender using link you provided, after reboot it upgraded to build .39, now both Veetle and VLC are streaming without problems. Thanks.

I'm having same problem with Veetle browser plug-in, player just ends up with same error message. I'm guessing it is related to VLC streaming problem because it is based on VLC player with some added p2p functionality.
