@logatino: Did you configure BitDefender to prompt before downloading and installing updates? You have to do so, then only allow BitDefender to install signature updates, not program updates, when prompted. This should prevent BitDefender from replacing the bdtl.dll you renamed. The workaround -- renaming bdtl.dll -- did the trick and I am once again able to access TFS, so yay for that.
