I actually checked the cache policy for my two externals, I already have caching disabled. I must have did it a while back and forgot I did it. BD still needs to fix the issue.

I found the culprit for the slow startup, it was the Origin Web Helper Service. I narrowed it down by process of elimination. Still would like to get the USB issue fixed with Bit Defender.

Restarting Windows Management Instrumentation doesn't fix the issue on Windows 7. I tried it. Edit, I tried it again and it did work this time. It would be nice if they just fixed the issue.

I have had the same issue since the update in the beginning of September. If I try to eject a USB drive it says it's in use on both my Windows 7 system and Windows 10 system, both are running Bit Defender Total Security 2019. If I disable Bit Defender I have no issues. It's September 12th... when is this getting fixed?
