Boggles the mind that an AV product would trash RAID, especially hardware RAID off of a dedicated controller.

As of 4:48 PM Eastern US Time update still fails for me on MD5 error. BDIS 2008 + Vista 64 SP1 as well as BDIS 2008 + XP 32 SP3.

I'm at least the third person posting about this problem, namely after Oct. 30 auto update always fails with either invalid MD5 or I/O timeout error, even if there is no firewall running, or with a properly configured firewall. Please look into this. I'm personally running BD 2008. Well in that case it's been overworked…

You can try to set the firewall rules manually As I said manual rules don't work either, like for firefox.exe. Besides how do you set manual rules for things like Windows File Sharing? And given that clean reinstall doesn't help either I'm forced to conclude that it's some shortcoming with the program itself.
