  • Stophel has done a runner. Check his post on Wilders.
  • You're right... I actually don't think my PC is infected, but it's making me nervous anyway... The thing is, I downloaded pictures from my digital camera to my pc, edited some of them with Photoshop and try to send them per email. Bitdefender alerts say, my message would contain a Trojan.******.5758. I have never heard…

  • Its strange, but when searching via google for Trojan.******.5758 just about all the results point to a section of a BitDefender forum. This means one of two things. Either BD is the only AV at this time capable of detecting this thing, or BD has detected a phantom which doesnt really exist.
  • And furthermore... I dont have a scheduled scan set. Rather, every 3 or 4 days, I just manually activate the scan when I am going to bed. I leave the PC disconnected from the net whilst doing this.
  • When setting BD up, it defaulted to scan at 2:00 a.m. Will it actually scan at that time even if my computer is turned off? Nope.
  • Thanks Niels
  • I never had a problem with this whilst using Outlook, but since I have switched back to Thunderbird I am finding that whenever I send emails with large attachments, the 'sending mail' window hangs after about a minute. The email concerned though still gets sent. I too had a friend who received the same 3MB email from me 6…
  • I've been wondering about something similar too... http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=9892
  • If you hate BD so much why do you persist in posting here? Go get another AV solution and whine somewhere else. BD fared well in those test results. Now, if they could only iron out the annonying little things that detract from the overall user experience, BD would be a world-beating product. Its been almost 3 months for…
  • I have looked at the manual and it states regarding this figure on the General Tab: To me this makes no sense, as this number is slowly increasing each minute (mine has moved from 2500 to 2600 in the last 15 minutes and it has been 6 days since my last full AV scan), even though NO scan has been activated at this time. I…
  • Would you care to elaborate?
  • I have looked at the manual and it states regarding this figure on the General Tab: Scanned files: Indicates the number of files that were checked for malware at the time of your last scan. To me this makes no sense, as this number is slowly increasing each minute (mine has moved from 2500 to 2600 in the last 15 minutes…
  • Hello... Will the information in this thread help? http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=9398 I lost my toolbar too in Thunderbird - I have it back now, but sadly it doesnt work - hitting the buttons to open up friends list etc does nothing. Mods / helpers - please look at the thread above - any ideas how to…
  • I had the same thing happen this evening as I was updating to the latest version of Firefox. I waited a few minutes and tried the update again and it was fine. Weird
