Hello all When I try to restore the quarantined files, BitDefender first complains that "A file with the same name already exists." When I click "OK" to confirm the replacement, BitDefender complains that it cannot find the specified path. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix / workaround? BUMP again! Where the…

Whoever is running the Bitdefender Twitter feed is doing better PR than ANYONE that's been on this forum so far as an employee of Bitdefender. That person is actually talking to and responding to the public and issuing apologies as well as constant updates on the situation. Even if you don't have a twitter account, keep up…

@brockwilliams, andre1990, holymoly, TheBigPJ There is no need to wait for a patch to fix the quarantine restore error messages, there won't be one soon, since it is by (bad) design. The 2 error boxes you get when restoring quarantined files are normal. The first error box asks you if it's OK to overwrite the duplicate…

I've read through all these pages and many of the mistakes people have committed would have been avoided if the bitdefender people would spread the word on what to do; and most importantly, what not to…

I really wish I'd seen something like that before I rebooted my computer & found out my keyboard & mouse no longer work... "Luckily" for me I only built my effected PC this week so I'll just lose a few hours reinstalling my O/S & a few updates (& triple check windows' restore function is active this time). I really pity…

A fix for the update system will be posted to our KB soon and that should repair the update system as to allow you to repair BitDefender and restore your files from quarantine. Please bear a little longer. A revert has been uploaded and some of the users have already received it. Here's to hoping this post doesn't get…

im sure its been said but its worth repeating and in my opinion should be pinned to the top of this forum or on the main page of this AND BitDefender's primary website: DURING THE Trojan.FakeAlert.5 issue, DO NOT TURN OFF OR REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER!
