No se puede reconoces como virus algo que no lo es. Será que tu o una rutina estableció el arranque en el inicio del navegador con una cierta dirección web.

Each and every file of Windows can be deleted but it's not recommended. That's why I recommend to touch files of Thunderbird profile. Before you touch, can easily do a backup. If something goes wrong, you can restore the files/folders at a previous state.
