Bitdefender Antivirus And Quickbooks

If this topic has been addressed before....sorry. We are new to the Forum. We have an office with 4 computers. 3 of them have BitDefender Antivirus installed on them. The 4th machine, our internal server, also hosts Quickbooks. When we tried installing BitDefender on the server (about 15 months ago) we couldn't get QBs to function properly. So we re-installed Norton. It has worked well for the past year. About 2 weeks ago we installed a new version of Norton (2009) and we have had a lot of internal network problems since then. We would like to install BitDefender as our antivirus program but are concerned about the past problems we had with QBs. Is this a problem anyone has heard of? If so, any work arounds, fixes we should know about? Has BitDefender solved this? Is there a different BitDender product we should use (Security?) Thanks for any help or experience anyone can share with us regarding the use of BitDefender Antivirus and QBs.

Tell us more about the problems that you had in the past with BD so that we can talk about it. I know that there were problems with Quicken back with the version 10 and afaik they were solved.

Thanks for asking. Well, I will tell you from memory that QBs would not open. We could get to the screen where we would enter the user name and password, then Qbs would stop functioning or wouldn't open. We tried for a couple of days but no luck. We eliminated BitDefender, reinstalled Norton and it all worked again. It is now a year later, we have installed the 09 Norton and have been having problems with Word documents opening, closing, locking up....preventing others from using files and/or other parts of the network. When we turn Norton off....no problems. So we were looking at trying BitDefender again. But haven't installed it...wanted to know if others are using it successfully w/ QBs. One local business is doing so...for 3 months now. Wondered about others experiences.
