Bd2009 Problems. Look Here For Answers
First and foremost:
I am not getting paid for this, nor am I tech support. I'm just an impatient person, so if you do have comments to post here. Don't be nasty or rude, refrain from flaming BD products/employees/forum moderators. I understand the frustration everyone who has problems has, but from my extensive experience with the IT industry, most problems arise between the screen and the computer chair(the user).
Just like most people who are having problems with BD, I was not able to find a unified topic or a meaningful explanation in trouble-shooting section. So this post hopefully will get to the bottom of the problem.
History:
Last Update Crashed Bd Refer here for how this came about.
Originally, I spent 8-12 hours messing with everything. but everything works finally. Just need to make sure which services need to be up and at what setting.
Possible Sollutions
1. Check out http://www.blackviper.com/ , Probably the best info anywhere regarding Windows(2000, ME, XP, Vista, etc) services.
2. List of services running on my box. I have excluded Video Card and other services which i think are irrelevant.

I have some observations
- Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)Started--------------------------Automatic
This should be started and automatic in case a user installes BD 200x Antivirus and has no 3-d party firewall .If the BD suite(TS/IS) has a firewall by its on, its not recommended that the Windows one to be active in same time.Generally 2 firewalls should not run in same time.
-Terminal ServicesStarted--------------------------Manual
Terminal Services should be on Automatic with BD 2009 to avoid problems.
SSDP Discovery Service - Was Removed from the list due to feedback from Sm3K3R and Viscon (thanks guys)

The Following Service can be set to Manual, doesn't seem to affect anything BD related. May affect other things, be sure to check under "Properties=>Dependencies" in services.msc.
