Bitdefender Uninstallation Should Be Password Protected
I was able to uninstall Bitdefender in Safe Mode using the Bitdefender Uninstall Tool or Revo Uninstaller Pro. The process was straightforward and I didn't encounter any Self-Defense mechanisms from the antivirus.
Anyone could easily uninstall the security software in this way, regardless of the user's intent. Bitdefender should urgently implement a Self-Defense feature, similar to Avast, to prevent unauthorized uninstallation without a security password.
Bitdefender Central should also include a password reset feature for home users. This is a fundamental requirement for all users and would not significantly impact system resources or performance.
Ideally, the password reset option should be directly integrated into the product itself, along with two customizable security questions. This would make it significantly more difficult for unauthorized individuals to guess the password. The questions and answers should be user-generated, rather than predefined, to enhance security.
