Can I install and leave Forticlient intact?
Hi,
Just purchased BitDefender and went to install. It wants me to remove Fortinet Antivirus. I looked and don't see any way to seperate Fortinet Antivirus from the Forticlient app. A bit stuck as we use Forticlient to access work files. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks,

I really don't see any other way than to have one or the other. You would need to uninstall the Fortinet app to install Bitdefender, and then, I would not even recommend trying to reinstall Fortinet, as having two real time AVs running at the same time can cause system instability and possible glitches, especially on what sounds like a work (accessing work files) PC. That is why Bitdefender looks for any conflicting, or potentially conflicting software when it begins the install process.
If you're concerned about additional security, IMO, I would just occasionally use a 2nd opinion scanner like Norton Power Eraser, ESET Online scanner, or F-Secure's online scanner.
You could use the free version of Malwarebytes and occasionally run that on demand, disabling the option to have it start with Windows.
Just my thoughts.

You're welcome, and yes, I agree let's not try to make (force) something to work that may cause more grief than benefit.
Hopefully, you can use your Bitdefender subscription on another device(s) where it wouldn't be an issue, otherwise, you can request a refund from here.
Kind regards.
