One of the PCs on my Total Security subscription is still running version 25.0.19.73. I cannot find anyway to update to the latest version, tried Updates and running weekly.exe, neither work. What do I need to do?

  • Hello @SallyON,

The latest version of Bitdefender security solutions for Windows is 27.0.46.231, released on 12/12/2024.
Do you encounter any errors when trying to update? If you click on 'Update' in the system tray, what happens?
For how long did this issue occur, since installing Bitdefender, since installing a certain program, since restoring the PC to a previous date, since experiencing some system or Bitdefender crashes, etc.?

Are you using a 3rd party firewall that could be blocking the update? If you do, add *.bitdefender.net and *.bitdefender.com to the 3rd party firewall's exclusions list. This means that any URL ending in .bitdefender.net will be excluded. Furthermore, ensure the device is connected to the internet and disconnect the VPN, if enabled.

  • No obvious problem when clicking on 'Update', says 100% updated but still on old version. Got Malwarebytes but turned that off and re-run update but no update.

If it's not too much trouble, can you try to reinstall Bitdefender on that device? This should definitely give you the latest version available. First, use the uninstall tool from here, run the tool corresponding to your Bitdefender version, and follow the on-screen instructions. Restart your computer once the tool completes its process.
Remove the device from Central, in order to free up the slot and proceed with a fresh installation.

Let us know if you get the latest version afterwards.
