Email Problems

I have recently installed BitDefender and now I find that when I send email attachments generally larger than 800kb that the email gets stuck in the outbox and continually sends in a loop. Clients have been calling me telling me that they are recieving the same email many times over. Seems to be no problems with smaller emails.

I never had a problem with this whilst using Outlook, but since I have switched back to Thunderbird I am finding that whenever I send emails with large attachments, the 'sending mail' window hangs after about a minute.

The email concerned though still gets sent.

I too had a friend who received the same 3MB email from me 6 times, because I thought that it wasnt being sent

I have exactly the same problem and so has another computer in our company which has had BitDefender 2009 recently installed. Everything was OK with BitDefender 2008, just in case this could be a clue for anyone. My Outlook version is 2003 and my OS is Win XP sp3.

I've been searching for solutions on the internet, but I haven't found anything worth mentioning...
