Whenever I start or restart Windows 11, Bitdefender automatically scans one external HD and one other folder on my PC. I usually stop the scan, close that window, and repeat with the second scan. How to I disable this automatic scan on startup?
Hello @FredC
In Protection/Antivirus Open/Settings set these to Ask or Disable, and see if that resolves it for you.
Kind regards.
I think this solves the problem. Many thanks.
You're welcome :)
I'll piggyback on the topic.
I have "ask every time" set. And it doesn't work. Every time I connect the USB, Bitdefender doesn't ask me anything. Why?
I will add that when I connect USB it asks me to scan. I checked the size of 32GB and 64GB When I connect an external drive it asks me to scan.
Why doesn't it ask with USB? What's happening?
Ok. There was no topic. I found the answers.
Which doesn't change the fact that when connecting USB with the "ask very time" option set, it should ask every time.
USB immunizer should be the next option.
Interestingly, when connecting USB, we only have USB immunizer. When we connect an external drive, it asks whether to scan. This is crazy. I don't know who came up with this and accepted it ;)
