Is it misinformation from BitDefender about VPN-X installor?

Hi,

I'm the developer of VPN-X.

http://birdssoft.com

Some of our customers report our VPN-X 2.2 RC1 installor has the virus named

"Trojan.Downloader.Qqhelper.CE" with "bitDefender 10.0".But I use Symantec antivirus to scan the VPN-X installor , no virus found. I doubt that our software installor has virus, please check it.

VPN-X is java VPN solution.Does Java program have trojan virus? :)

  • Java programs could be as well malware. However, is most likely that your case is a false-positive. Upload the archived file with the password infected here, and the virus researchers will take a look at it.

    Is there any support?

  • Hi richardx,

As soon as the VR will take a look at your files, they will post the results here. Just have a little patience :)

  • The signature has been deactivated (it was false positive, sorry for the hassle). The file should not be detected as of the next update.
