I think a lot of Windows10 users will switch to Linux or ChromebookOS, any thoughts on reviving the old Linux version of Bitdefender?
To add here, Bitdefender Antivirus Scanner for Unices was once a well-regarded product. However, due to limited market demand, it was eventually discontinued. At present, there is no recent information suggesting that a new Bitdefender product for Linux operating systems is under active development.
As @Gjoksi mentioned, feedback regarding the need for a Linux-based solution has already been conveyed to the Bitdefender development team. While multiple suggestions and requests have been shared through the Bitdefender Community Forum, the company is currently conducting an internal evaluation of global market demand.
Given that the development of any new product involves extensive research and resource allocation, Bitdefender is committed to ensuring that any future Linux offering aligns with its strategic objectives and market viability. User feedback—especially from the community forum—is being carefully reviewed and considered as part of this process.
The Bitdefender team and forum moderators genuinely appreciate the continued input and engagement from users regarding the potential development of a Linux product for home use. However, as of now, no specific roadmap or timeline has been announced. Any official updates will be shared through the Bitdefender Community Forum.
Thank you once again for your valuable feedback and ongoing support.
