While the Linux market is still small and developing a full-scale product for home users may not be commercially viable, offering an on-demand CLI scanner could make sense. The community can always build a GUI if demand arises, there are plenty of precedents for this. I’d argue this scanner should be free for personal/non-commercial use. Doing so would not only draw existing Linux users into Bitdefender’s ecosystem but also show the company’s commitment to new Linux users who already rely on your products across other platforms. Bitdefender, it's already doing this in some capacity with its free products for Windows and Android.
You could roll this out without significant dev overhead, given that you already offer a far more feature rich Linux based product for business clients.
