How can I reenable AnyDesk and TeamViewer to run without a UAC prompt?

Hello,

I frequently use remote desktop apps to connect to my PC when I am away. Parsec is the main one and AnyDesk and TeamViewer are my back-ups in case Parsec is acting up, which happens on occasion. Parsec seems unaffected, however I think that a few days ago I changeg some Windows setting that now forces a UAC prompt every time they have to launch, including at system startup. There was a Scam copilot prompt that I wanted to dismiss and out of haste I pressed the wrong button. I though at the time that it only force closed the two apps, but I think it also led to this. I don't recall this ever happening before and can confirm that on the PC I'm on now the UAC prompt isn't triggered when I launch either of the apps. I am using windows 10.

I'm not entirely sure that this is the issue, but I am sure enough that this is the first place I decided to ask. Does anyone know how I can undo this?

  • Hi @cezar.turcanu,

I think the Support teams may help you undo this. You could try the following:

Open Bitdefender, go to Protection → Scam Copilot. Under Activity or Remote Access Scam Prevention, look for "Application blocked" for AnyDesk or TeamViewer. There should be an option to restore or undo this block.
