Bitdefender processes blocking access to Bitdefender Logs folder

I am unable to view BD logs within BD (Total Security) program - it simply does noting when clicking on View log, or directly using Windows (10) Explorer - which reports access denied. It is NOT a simple, folder security issue as taking ownership of the folder is blocked (using whatever method) unless Windows is booted in Diagnostic mode (when ny BD processes running) at which time i have full access. Clearly fgolder access is being blocked by BD. Password protection access to BD settings is not enabled. Temporarily suspending protection BD Shield does not help.

BD support has been completely useless so far…. first, they gave me the wrong folder path for the Logs folder, and when I reported I was unable to take ownership of the folder in Windows (to gain access to log files) their solution was to tell me to take ownership of the folder !! Even if it worked, this would not be a valid solution anyway, just a workaround, but even their instructions how to do this were wrong!

Is BD really as bad as it seems to be? Is there any competent support from BD? Can anyone help?
