Unable to Access Course Videos After Install

I recently installed Bit Defender on my new computer. prior to installing I was able to watch videos included in a course from Cornell All About Birds. allaboutbirds.org I tried adding it as an exception - but it didn't change anything. I am not super computer literate, so I am unsure about this. I would like to watch the videos. I am running on Windows…

Hi,

Are you also using the Anti-tracker browser extension by any chance? Or any third-party ad-blockers, a VPN maybe? Because these can also interfere with streaming content.
If this is not the case, since there's little information that would help me pinpoint the root cause here, I suggest to disable the security modules in Bitdefender temporarily, and try to play the videos after each deactivation. This should normally reveal which module is preventing the content from loading. You can find the full procedure here:

Also, what happens when you try to play those videos, do you get a loading loop, a blank screen, or any errors at all?

I turned off the anti-tracker and I can watch the videos again. I appreciate the links, and the info helped me to know where to start and what to check. Thank you so much!
