Anyone experiencing Bitdefender corrupting emails in Outlook and/or Thunderbird (Bitdefender converting html emails to plain text, Outlook inbox getting emails in MIME format, Outlook emails have no content, etc.) on a Windows device, here are the latest updates on the issue.
Update 1 - August 14, 2025:
The developers reverted the changes made in the last signature update and this should do the trick until a permanent fix is deployed.
Bitdefender automatically updates itself every hour after you start your computer.
To manually update Bitdefender, just follow the steps from part Manual update guide from this article:

NOTE: Once the update is completed, it is recommended to restart (reboot) your Windows device.
But keep in mind this change is being rolled out gradually, so it may not reach everyone at the same time.
