Cant Upload Larger Files Using Firefox

i recently changed from norton to bitdefender anti-virus 2009 ..
i'm now finding that i cant upload larger files using firefox .. it works in internet explorer so i have to open that up to upload my photographs .. its a pain ..
i can upload files of say 200kb using firefox but when i try something around 4mb or larger it wont do it ..
a friend directed me to CONFIGURING BITDEFENDER INTERNET SECURITY
unfortunately its for bitdefender internet security 2008 version and mine is bitdefender antivirus 2009 .. i cant follow the directions .. cant find the firewall settings and the layout is totally different ..
can anyone out there help me ..
its driving me mad ..
